good news, bad news

good news: i'm being rehired as a reader at lghs. i get to help calibrate the grading and determine anchor papers for the school year, starting at the beginning of september.
bad news: the job i had writing test questions is coming to an end. :( the curriculum development for the project i've been working on is ending due to unforseen circumstances. anyone have any contacts. i've worked in editing/publishing/grading/writing for creative and educational intitutes. i luuuurve editing.
bad news: i've reached a breaking point with the little boy i'm watching. the screaming/whining is really depressing me and i don't like the behavior the kids are picking up. i'm getting frusterated with my own two and not being as good of a mommy as i can be. what i'm getting paid isn't nearly worth the downsides.
good news: i got an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow afternoon to have my antidepressant adjusted. *le sigh*
bad news: in the midst of 'all this' the cats got left by the wayside. i discovered that ophelia is completely covered in mats and that i can't even begin to groom her like i usually do. they have been vomiting periodically and getting crap stuck in their tail feathers.
good news: i got an appointment this afternoon to have them shaved at the groomers.
bad news: it'll cost me $70 per cat. *ouch*
good news: bk evenutally showed up last saturday to miss p's opening soccer day. he plans to come to the games. this should make parker pretty happy and it will mean someone else is there to help wrangle 'renzo (ie, keep him off the mother-flippin' field) if d2's game overlaps with p's game.
bad news: when he showed up, bk looked ill. very pale, very drawn, very shakey. i asked him twice if he was okay because he was fidgeting and seeming to have a hard time listening to me. i'm genuinely concerned for him. i don't know if he's malnourished from this vegan diet thing or if there is 'something else' going on. for the kids' sake and shit, his own sake, i hope he gets healthy.
bad news: bk noticed that i've been riding his bike. it was attached to the kids' trailer in the driveway when he picked up 'renzo last night (p came with d and d2 and i to soccer practice). he said he'd come over and get the bike 'soon.'
good news: i told him that it was my main mode of transportation right now and if he didn't mind, i'd really like to keep it. he said no problem and seemed happy enough to let me use it. *whew*
good news: d2 is home and everything is gelling. the kids are getting along great, possibly even better than before the summer. no problems sharing the room. they go to sleep pretty quick, each in their own beds.
good news: d2 started his first day of school yesterday. he did great and seemed to really like his new teacher. and when d was filling out the school info packet last night he used our address as the home address and put me as an emergency contact. *swoon*
