bk picked the kids up early. i gave him a list before they left and he dropped p off (10 minutes late) with a size three (pink!) soccer ball, (pink!) shin guards, a completely reasonably ($19.95) priced pair of cleats, and a pair of size ten, velcro-closure (pink!) tennis shoes for school. just precisely what i asked for.
he also took the invoice from the rec department detailing the $1665 that i spent during the past calendar year on registration, preschool tuition, and summer camp. he agreed to pay for the next year's worth of school for miss p, until he's paid his $1665, at which point we'll start going halvsies.
so, a round of applause for this encouraging turn of events. and knowing it may or may not last, for this event especially and only. thank you divorce gods for smiling on our little broken family for two days. :)
