no word from bk today (or last night, despite a promised goodnight call to miss p ('renzo evidently can take a flying leap)). he's supposed to have them tomorrow but who knows if that'll actually happen or not. parker has a cold and is super whiny and cranky. i'm feeling pretty desperate for a break, like i was several months ago. i think the worst part is knowing that in all likelihood no break is coming.
to those that suggested a new schedule...this is the new schedule. bk has designed the "schedules" from day one. when we sat in the mediators office way back when, i told bk to write down his ideal schedule. he wrote tues 5-9, wed 5-9, saturday 11-4. okay. the mediator and i thought that 9 was a bit late for a (then) 1 year old and three and a half year old (especially with preschool on thursdays). he agreed to 5-8 instead and every other saturday. if you look back at the blog, he has cancelled on his own plan countless times and never asked for extra time with the kids. i can't MAKE him take them. the schedule isn't the problem; the problem is constantly letting the kids down. (my frustration, fwiw, isn't directed at the commentors...) should i ask him if he wants fewer scheduled days? i'm at a complete loss.
the dcss case feels like it is taking forever. it's been over sixty days since the case was opened and this is still well under the projected estimate of when things actually begin to happen. i'm calling my case worker tomorrow.
