while we were out of town we got a call from our local recreation department telling us that parker got into preschool. this isn't an academy preschool or anything - i was late calling around and spots fill up fast (apparently). miss p was number 20 on the waiting list for the less desirable (i'm told) afternoon program. i put her name on the list thinking there was no way in hell she'd get in. i completely forgot about it actually. lo and behold ... she starts september 11th! this is fantastic because it is totally affordable ($110/month for two hours every tues/thurs) and because i was secretly hoping for afternoon class so i don't have to drag us out of bed early. :o)
