so i was talking about the kids. to continue with miss p... she just seems to know what she can expect from daddy, which right now is not very much. i hope for everyone's sake it is more in the future. for now though she is content to look to other men for the guy things she needs. she calls my dad on many mornings or when he gets off of work. she asked uncle austin to take her to the park last sunday (which he of course did!) while she's more attached to me than ever, she's also really willing to connect with more people in her life than before r left. both kids have a wonderfully diverse group of people who love and look after them.
as for 'renzo - he's still such a freaking delight. a truly happy little guy. he's walking now and climbing into everything. he's getting another FOUR teeth (to add to the six he already has). he's much more verbal than parker was at this age. he says cat, car, kitty, mama, more, "ga" (his word for parker) and a few more. today he shook his head "no" for the first time. he started signing nurse a couple of weeks ago. *heart melts*
my only concern is in regards to r and his seeming lack of attachment to 'renz. when he comes over to the house he's good about including and interacting with parker (putting dinner on the bbq) but not so with mr. baby. even when i encourage him he overtly declines. i think in some ways he still thinks of him as four months old. like the main job is to get him to sleep. he isn't so much about "equal opportunity" with the kids. :o(
