r is being nicer to me (for now) and more helpful. this afternoon he accidentally (i assume) said "i love you" over the phone. this somehow does not make things any easier. he scooped the cat litter twice this week, took out the garbage, shared a bottle of wine with me. and then he left me with the kids to go to another party.
