just saw a commercial for gardasil (the cervical cancer/hpv vaccine) that was directed at mothers of girls/women between 9 and 26. all the women were basically saying, 'i talked to my daughter's doctor and had her vaccinated with gardasil. you should too.' now ya'll know i don't vaccinate (with the understanding that if we do foreign travel to third world countries that may change and that my kids, when they are old enough to do their own research, are free to choose to vaccinate themselves with my support. incidentally, i feel the same about lorenzo choosing to circ later in life...) but i'm a bit conflicted about this one. i won't be running out to get it for myself and thankfully i have at least 4.5 years to decide about p before she's even able to get it.
