the one with the lady reclining on the bed & the three coy koi in the background

first of all, my mom is out of the hospital. we were there last night until about 8.30. her catscan showed no sign of gallbladder, kidney, or appendix issues (the doctors predicted these three) but instead what they think was a ruptured ovarian cyst. she woke up this morning in a lot of pain and decided to the vicodin that they prescribed her. she's supposed to follow up with her ob/gyn next week.

while not at the hospital i've been working my fingers to the chocolately-bone for you lovely people. we're sold out ya'll! we're one step closer to being a legitimate business and we look forward to hearing your feedback on the chocolate and our gorgeous business cards. seriously, you'll be blown away. and oh yeah, the chocolate's aight too.

in bk news...yesterday at three i called him to let him know that my mom was in the hospital and that i needed him to get the kids early so that they'd allow me back in the emergency room to see my mom and sign her paperwork. incredibly he got there at four (THANK YOU LESLIE SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN THE MEANTIME) and took the kids. i told him i'd see him back at the house at 8.30 or 9 but to call first in case we were at the hospital still. he called me at 7.40 to tell me that the kids were falling apart and that he needed to bring them back. he dropped them off at the hospital. (THANKS AGAIN LESLIE FOR YOUR HELP). *le sigh*

today he picked the kids up at 6.15 and dropped them off at 9. there was a fair amount of coercing that had to be done to get parker to go. d2 was here and miss p was beside herself 'cause she wanted to stay and play with him.

i also talked to bk about their diet when they are with him. i am by no means oppossed to the kids eating veg*an while they are with him. i do have a problem with the fact that they come back hungry most visits and tell me they've had only veggies and white rice for dinner. the kids are both sensitive to soy so i'd already asked him not to give them soy products (a HUGE staple for them i think). in other words the kids get very little or no protien and come home cranky. so when i broached the topic i tread very softly and he was understanding but maybe not terribly educated or something (basically they cut animal products out of their diet and didn't change it in any other way...). so the solution that he is comfortable with is me sending scrambled eggs or cooked poultry/fish/meat with the kids when they see him. *le sigh*
