i can't remember what made me think of this last night but i decided to not purchace anything made in china for the next month. hopefully it'll make me a more conscious consumer. i don't anticipate that it'll be TOO difficult for me since i don't buy a whole lot but we'll see... maybe next month i'll try only american made stuff.
so today, i went grocery shopping and completely forgot about my challenge. *no duh* i read all the labels when i got home and i seem to have lucked out.
always maxi pads: made in canada
ob tampons: made in usa
charmin toilet paper: made in usa
suave shampoo & conditioner: made in usa
organic avocados & bananas: grown in chile
acorn squash: grown in ecuador
milk, eggs, cheese: produced in usa
cereal, bread, crackers: made in usa
i doubt very much of the food in our california grocery stores comes from china. finding stuff for parker's birthday (party & gifts) may be a bit of a challenge. w00t!
