since i missed a couple days i figured i'd really mix things up and make two posts today.
how sad to hear that peter jennings died...the things you miss with no internet.
wow, just had a great dinner over at omei in santa cruz!
so, a couple nights ago i started reading "timequake" by kurt vonnegut. kv is a favorite of mine. other than "ocean sea", "welcome to the monkey house" is my favorite book ever. ANYWAY, i haven't read "timequake" before. so far, it seems to be largely autobiographical. kv talks a fair amount about his parents, his experiences during wwii, and about his children and wives (one of whom, jill krementz, is an awesome photographer). this book, published in 1996, is said to be kv's last novel. he hasn't put anything out since but he isn't dead yet!

the moral at the end of that story is this: "men are jerks. women are psychotic."
i do not propose to discuss my love life. i will say that i still can't get over how women are shaped, and that i will go to my grave wanting to pet their butts and boobs. i will say, too, that lovemaking, if sincere, is one of the best ideas satan put in the apple she gave to the serpent to give to eve. the best idea in that apple, though, is making jazz.
