at $10.50 for just over an ounce and a half ($5.84/oz.) of go raw's real live chocolate is pretty durn expensive. it is delicious, raw, organic, fair trade, vegan, and is handmade from only two ingredients. they sell their chocolate in 6 individually wrapped 0.3oz pieces that have the texture of a truffle. i don't really like their packaging, not aesthetically pleasing.
dagoba chcolate is also organic but is sold in bars and is made with four ingredients (for the plain 59% dark chocolate, non flavoured bars). they retail for $2.29 the company is being purchased by hershey (along with joseph schmidt and sharffen berger). according to their website they are fair trade too.
then there is green & black's (my personal first organic chocolate splurge). nice sleek packaging. tasty organic/fairtrade chocolate bars retailing for $3.50 for 3.5oz. you'll find 'em at whole foods.
as for us: i think we've finalized our basic chocolate recipe with our three ingredients. now the fun part!
